Family feel restaurant with really good Latin food!
Outstanding food. The roast pork is amazing. Everything tasted great. Four in our party and not a single complaint. Pork, beef, beans, rice, plantains, and papusas were all wonderful. Definitely a place on our favorite restaurants.
Driving down Venice Blvd, if you are not searching for Gloria's, you will definitely miss it. On a busy day or night, parking is at a premium. Once you are in the door, I cam on a night where police officers were on their dinner break. You know it's a place to stop when police officers eat here too. Without considering that, the pupusas are great here but I am here for the seafood stew with the crab legs sticking out of the bowl. Watching this place on Diner's Drive-ins and Dives just reminded me of all the friends I came in here with and also see on the episode. It's definitely a place you want to stop in to eat at when you are in the area.
Excellent food and service. Try the Salvadoran corn tamales for a unique take--delicate and light. Gloria's tortilla soup hits the spot on a gray day and the carnitas quesadilla is a tasty appetizer to share.
Great food, great service, and usually Gloria is there and will talk you through your best course of action. One of my favorite local spots to grab a quick meal with the lady.
Awesome Salvadorian food. You definitely have to try her famous carne adobada.
These pupusas are god tier oh my
Delicious food and wonderful service. Definitely a place I will return to as much as possible.
Had the lunch special with sand dab, shrimp, hush puppy, fries and a can of soda for 6.50.The only thing that compelled me to deduct a star was the fact that the fish was a small piece and the shrimp was mostly batter.
Was on our way to Versailles and remembered that this spot was featured in diners, drive ins, and dives so we chabged oyr and tried it out. The seven seas soup was really good and the papousas were interesting. We also ordered a Carne asada burrito, which wasn't as good as the other dishes. Overall a good experience.
Overall, a great little restaurant in a stripmall with tight parking. Food was good and the staff were friendly. The prices are on average and we tried a little of everything. The pupusas were great along with the steak plate. We will be coming back.
The battle between Salvadorian and Mexican food rages on. But there is a peaceful ceasefire at Glorias Café, where customers can choose between the best of both worlds (sometimes even on the same plate!). Try the papusas, Mexican tamales, and enchiladas suizas. Opt for the black beans over the refried pintos. And don't forget to try a jug of sangria.
Always so delicious 💚🙌
I came to this place because my gf saw it on the foods channel. The food for sure did not disappoint. The lady who I think is Gloria was very nice. Treated us good from the moment we walked in. I love platains and will continue to come back here. It wasn't expensive at all. If you see my picture I posted, that was about $10 so you get your money's worth. I highly recommend this location!
Best Seven Seas soup!!!
Tasted like old dish water and the fish stunk
No disapointments here, this is the best salvadorian food I've ever had definitely will be back.
Delicious platanos and fantastic guacamole! Fun atmosphere. Excellent service. One of the best restaurants in this part of town. I recommend trying their Happy Hour specials!
very authentic, and formally elegant with the space it had;
Amazing mole, great unhurried service. highly recommended, authentic vibe and ambiance ( read not trendy or modern). 4.9⭐️
Great meal and excellent, friendly service for our first-time visit. We ordered the pupusa platters and they were amazing - great with Modello on draft. Looking forward to the next visit!
Great meal , super clean restaurant, I’m guessing Gloria was my server, older lady super attentive and proud of her cuisine. Highly recommend visit Saturday afternoon not to busy . Personally I Like the music selection. One more thing they use reusable straws! Great .
The best hand made pupusas on the west side ! Excellent service, parking sucks terribly but if you're lucky enough to get one of the open spots, or street parking it's totally worth it.
Great food & drinks. Service ALWAYS with a smile & prompt.Great job staff
Best pupusas on the westside.
Oh my, I'm in love with their sweet corn tamale.
Loved it. It's our first time here we all enjoyed it. Service is amazing very attentive.
Love the chill, low-key vibe of this place. I thoroughly enjoyed the light, thin chips along with their homemade salsa. When getting beer with your meal, definitely get the pint to share. Huge savings that way.
Love the food! Excellent burritos, tacos, and soups!
Been eating there for decades. Family owned and run. Great food and great service. Have never disliked anything I have tried. Staff is very friendly and sociable. I moved our of the neighbourhood last summer, and Haven't been there for a long time. I highlyrecommend it.
I really enjoy their food. I always get excellent service here. The place is neat and the employees are always very welcoming. Will visit here again.
This restaurant has fine Salvadorian food at super affordable prices. I enjoy the taste and quality of food whenever I go here. It is definitely worth your time and money.
I admire this restaurant! They offer delicious dishes, their menu is rich, The chief cook in that restaurant is a real pro, I love very much tasting all their dishes. The dishes are always good, the service towards the clients is good. I often eat in this place and I was never unhappy. I recommend it to all my friends.
Wonderful dinner and cocktails.Ordered Fresh Avocado as appetizer and it was so good. Also ordered a pitcher of Margarita and enjoy every sip.The menu is rather large and offers many varieties and reasons to return to try all dishes 😆I had the Carne adobada and the meat was well seasoned and very tender.Next time I want to try the seven sister soup.
We always make a point of stopping here when we can. The pork adobada and the carnitas are the best!!!
Gloria’s cafe is an amazong Salvadorean restaurant. There were plenty of dishes to choose from and Gloria, the owner, was very helpful in describing the dishes on the menu. I ordered the famous Seven Seas Soup and the beef adobada. I was surprised that the soup had plenty of seafood and the broth had amazing seasoning. The beef adobada was just as great. The meat was tender and the sauce was amazing!
Honestly, there's not much to say about this place other than the fact that it is absolutely some of the best food I've ever had. Ever. Period.
We love the food, the service and the atmosphere.
I saw Gloria's on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and knew I had to check it out. When we first entered, there was hardly anyone in the restaurant but within minutes, the place was PACKED. On TV, Gloria cooked with all the spices my family is familiar with. In person, it was AMAZING!!! Gloria took our order herself - she's very charming and sweet. She greeted many of her regular customers personally. The food was DEFINITELY worth the trip and I'm already planning another trip JUST to visit Gloria's. Her food is absolutely everything.
I was recommended to try this spot from a prominent figure on a nationally televised show. It was so worth it. The ambiance is perfect and the pricing is right on for any type of date. If it’s your first time you have to go with the 7 Seas. I get that some people aren’t into seafood but they‘re the ones missing out on this dish. The flavor is so rich with tons of depth. They really kill it with a cornucopia of crab, mussels, octopus, halibut and shrimp. Can’t wait to get back to try the rest of the menu. Thanks Gloria and awesome to meet you
Delicious as always! If you have time, it's worth waiting for the 7 Seas Soup.
Old school west Los angeles spot , good customer service. Good food and dishes featured on the Food network. I recommend the seven seas soup. Draft beers on tap. I ordered the carne adobada but I'll get the soup next time. I included just a couple pics. Launch gets busy but not too busy Friday after hour is pretty busy . Parking a bit of a challenge in front side streets not so lucky. If you're in the West Los Angeles area particularly Venice boulevard I highly recommend to try this once.
Had my first taste of Salvadoran food here 2 months ago. I returned this past weekend, despite the fact Gloria's is more than 80 miles from home. Tasty, home-made flavorful food. And Gloria is delightful too.
Love it here. Gloria and her staff are super friendly. The food is fantastic and legit. I keep coming back time and time again.
One of the best food places you'll find in Palms. Amazingly friendly staff, great food, pleasant atmosphere.
Excellent food and service. I loved the carne adobo.
They made a chicken burrito extremely tasty!I've had both versions. The house special, which includes sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and guac on top of chicken and beansI just tried the chicken and beans only, and equally satisfied! They were featuredOn Diners, Drive -Ins and Dives. They have an awesome tortilla soup as well. Check out Gloria' s next time you're on the Westside!
The food is regularly well prepared and delicious, cashiers hands over good customer service. I loved the cleanliness and atmosphere. Worth a try.
Everything from the chicken tortilla soup to the house special carnitas burrito and every thing in between was spectacular. The service was great. The restaurant was clean and Gloria was very attentive to her customers. I’m so glad we stumbled across this place. If you’re in the neighborhood you definitely need to stop by Gloria’s Cafe.
Cozy and authentic. Nice big portions. Attentive owner with a good sense of humor. Gracias Gloria.
